As to Mcafee getting rid of his mining equipment, so what? Mining equipment has a pretty short profitable lifespan and he has been mining for 2 years. Maybe by dumping his unprofitable miners he realized some cash. What we don't know is how much bitcoin he holds. His mining operation net him a few hundred bitcoin which is a pretty fair amount , a few million dollars worth. Maybe that's all he wants to hold.
