I mean, if you were paying attention you should already know this. But, for those of you who didn't...

Segwit was something that was added to Bitcoin(it wasn't previously on it). In order for this to happen a fork occurred.

The fork looked like this.

Add Segwit to the left, do nothing to the right.

Going to the left in the fork adds Segwit, doing nothing keeps Bitcoin the same. Bitcoin Cash is actually the old blockchain using the legacy Bitcoin rules, Bitcoin Segwit is not. Bitcoin has always been able to raise the block limit higher(as part of the built in rules), so raising the block limit in Bitcoin Cash isn't changing the rules, it is abiding by them. Segwit broke the rules and forked off.

Now this is something I have always understood to be true, but I suppose many people just never really thought about it much. They assumed that somehow Bitcoin Cash "forking off" is the new fork, simply untrue. And now the below report can be downloaded through a PDF at the below link.

wow. first time ive heard this. why has no one talked about this? there are so many crypto heads that know how the blockchain works why do they not scream and shout that being able to increase block size was already in the original bitcoin code?

A lot of them turned into shills unfortunately. Check out that bottom link of a huge collection of their lies. Most of the people who are pro btc right now are people new to the space and they don't know about the takeover of banksters paying off blockstream, and Lightning Network being a huge way of profiting for it's creators.

thanks I will look at to link..

BitCoin is not very attractive with this transfer speed. The BCH transfers are very fast.

Well, BCH isn't that fast either compared to certain other cryptos. Certainly not worthy of small instantaneous transactions. RaiBlocks (soon to rebrand as NANO) is instantaneous. But "who will win" isn't decided on philosophy. Adoption will decide the winner and Lightning network will only help BTC in the direction.

Very true :) We will see!

I agree! Bitcoin Cash will win the day in the end :)

hey so nice I really like your post! Thanks for it! I actually wrote my 2nd part of my introduceyouself and I write about that I went to jail because of cryptos... lets make steemit together to a better place with our content! I would like to read a bit more about you and maybe do you have some more pictures? Maybe you upvote me and follow me swell as I do? https://steemit.com/counterfeit/@mykarma/2-jail-review-counterfeit-euro-speeeeending-time

I've seen you spam this link in to unrelated posts a number of times. This is a way to get the kind of attention you don't want. Going to someone's post to ask for follows and votes is not a way to make friends.
