Bitcoin Reaches New High: $5800 USD!
Bitcoin has stunned and amazed everyone who was sitting on their hands as it just broke the glass ceiling making a record high of $5800 USD.
The value of a bitcoin reached a new all-time high of $5,856.10 at around 02:45 UTC this morning.
The new price record comes just hours after setting new highs with a strong move beyond $5,000 yesterday, according to CoinDesk's Bitcoin Price Index. At 16:30 UTC Thursday, bitcoin was at $5,363.
Clearly the best play was to load the boat when BTC recently traded in the $4000-5000 range just a month back. If you've missed the boat, don't worry, traditionally there have always been dips and opportunities to get in on a sale day so just be patient!
The combined market cap for all cryptocurrencies is once again climbing towards the Sept. 1 high of $172.5 billion, peaking this morning at $171.94 billion. Bitcoin's market cap is today $95.5 billion, over 55 percent of the total market.
In the bear market we experienced this year the combined value of cryptocurrencies dropped into the $70 billion range, an absolute bargain compared to the market where it is now.

In my opinion, this new surge in BTC price is due to a few developments which include Nasdaq Stockholm now trading an ETN which allows normal investors to get in on the action of BTC and ETH and Coinbase's new policy of instant purchases and sales from USD to ETH and BTC.
