BITCOIN STORIES

There are a few great stories that people tell about BITCOIN and I just wanted to share a few of them with you.

One day some of us here may well have a similar story to share about their STEEM..!!

Whether these stories are true or not, I cannot verify, but I can say that they are plausible.

Enjoy, and if you have any more similar stories please share I would love to hear them.

Credit to The Guardian for the content of the first one where a man buys $27.00 worth of BITCOIN and then later found that they were worth $886k..!!

Credit to the BBC for the contents of the second one where a man throws a hard drive away with £4m worth of BITCOIN stored on it and searches a landfill for it..!!!

$375k PIZZA..!!

One of the best stories I have heard is one where a guy in 2010 tried to buy a Pizza with 500 BITCOIN and the Pizza Guy turned him down..!!

Today that Pizza would cost $375k..!!

That is probably one unlucky Pizza Man..!!

Now whether any of these stories are true or not they could certainly have happened not forgetting BITCOIN was $0.10 in 2010..!!

It will be great to hear people sharing these types of stories in 6 years about STEEM..!!

Please share any BITCOIN stories you may have, true or not, I would love to hear them.

Thanks for reading.

Stephen

I have a friend who works at adsense in 2009, he said he was paid using bitcoin, several times he received until he later moved to work, he did not use that bitcoin. Now he was surprised, since he was just out back of bitcoin, it costs 1 BTC = US $ 770. Pity of him, even he does not know what that "wallet". That is the story that I heard from him.

I can imagine that he has 500 BTC only, and today he can access back to his wallet, how rich he is!

Wow..!! Great story.

Well I sure missed the boat on Bitcoin getting in at 272, so hopefully I will track better on Steem...plus it is more intriguing.

I don't have any stories myself, but I'm sure glad the subject was brought up. :)

Price volititity is one of the reasons my friends are scared of Bitcoin and other crypto coins.

Totally agree. Most dont have the guts to just take a position through fear of loosing everything but sometimes you just have to take an educated view and the price really is irrelevant if its going to up in time..!! Stephen

Very cool point! i imagine a lot of the stories will revolve around "Steemit completely changed how i publish my writing," or "i can't believe i was actually able to make a living blogging!"

What's awesome about Steemit is that the rewards to content production are good for those of us in rich countries, but the opportunities for those in poorer countries without other good economic options are enormous...sort of a game changer.

I'm looking forward to seeing these types of success stories for STEEM a few years down the road! Thanks for sharing these cool Bitcoin stories :) Posts like this reinforce my motivation to hoard as much STEEM as possible in form of SP.

Thanks for the reply. Most people I tell that BITCOIN was $0.10 in 2010 and is now +$750 simply dont believe me. Some even refuse to talk about it..!! Crazy really. Stephen

Haha, I can relate to the fact that a lot of people refuse to talk about how cheap Bitcoin used to be. I guess some of the reason for this is because they regret not investing into it. I remember considering to buy Bitcoins at $17 per Bitcoin, but ultimately decided against it. You can imagine how frustrating that felt when I saw how high it raised in the following year!

"I remember considering to buy Bitcoins at $17 per Bitcoin.." Ouch..!! I can see STEEM taking the same course as BITCOIN.

Yea, this is still kind of hurtful! I was so regretting that choice for a long time, but have later come to realize that it was just a human mistake. At that time there was so much uncertainty with the Bitcoin, so it felt like a big gamble that I decided to not do.

I bought in at $50, after learning about bitcoin at $10. Thought I'd missed the boat...
