Todays crypto preview is an interesting project with the name of #GigTricks. Which is a very cool name.

GigTricks is a #FreelanceCoin that goes beyond the usual 'post-a-job' website. They have thought of everything.

The first thing I noticed when reading their material is that the website is geared towards companies and entrepreneurs who need to hire specific talent to grow their business. It is aimed at the big fish. This is smart marketing and aiming at the people who have the money and need talent is a change from marketing to struggling freelancers looking for work.

I am hoping that the GigTricks team continues to market the platform this way. As the two mindsets are very different.

Another stand out feature is that GigTricks is an entire suite of tools designed to help entrepreneurs and freelancers grow their businesses. If you look at the feature set below, you can see a variety of tools that will come in handy to freelancers looking to build up their street cred in the gig economy.

The social network feature is interesting as there is potential to carve out a name for yourself in the GigTricks community. It's a living, breathing ecosystem rather than just work posted on a static bulletin board on the internet. The social features have real potential as 'everyone needs to work'. Therefore, a social network designed to bring work ( and a paycheck ) would no doubt be popular.

From the material I read, GigTricks is setting up a system that rewards engagement in the platform and community. Not just performing jobs, but for playing a role. So, if you 'work it', you will be rewarded for your efforts.

The POS ( point of sale ) device is a nice addition to the toolset. Transactions made on the device are recorded on the blockchain and your profile. Giving you another way to build up your business when attending expos, conferences or delivering workshops.

These extras point to a project that has potential to make waves in the gig-economy.

The roadmap has some interesting landmarks to note. Q4 2018 sees listings of the GitBit #GBTC token listed on exchanges, which investors will be glad of. In the same quarter, the iOS and Android apps are due for release pointing to opening of the platform by years end.

The POS device rolls out in Q2 of 2019 which also points to the fact that GigTricks must be very close to rolling out their service offering. As opposed to launching it a year ( or more ) after their ICO.

All in all, this is a project I am interested in joining myself. I've been looking to put my services 'front and centre' for sometime but could never quite find the right platform. As this is a blockchain-based platform, I may just give it a whirl when they open the doors for business.
