Today I Sold a Tenth of my Bitcoins - Now it Follows a Bubble or a Fallback to 4800

As you can see in the chart the price of bitcoin touches the upper trend line. Until now it touches the trend line the forth time. If extrapolated, this line results in a bitcoin price of 10000$ at the end of the year. Everything above would be a bubble in my opinion. At a price of 10000$ I will sell the next tenth of my bitcoins. In case of a baisse after reaching the 10000$ I see the downside potential at 4800$.

Cause I don't know what will really happen I only sell 20% of my coins an ride the bubble with 80%.

interessante wenn-dann Strategie, deine vereinfachten Überlegungen gefallen mir gut.

engl: a Trend only works with historic data, what if (and it will happen) Hedgefunds come in to the Game? A trending strategy will not hold in those cases (on rare events it will fail also, but this is another storry). Why are you so sure that you can work with the linear trend? You define the deviation from your Null Modell (linear Trend Hypothesis) as a "bubble". So your working Hypothesis A is: in the next time, there will be no fundamental change (e.g. hedge funds comming in to the Market)
and B if e.g. Hedge Funds bring Money in to Bitcoin, it is a bubble. In other words: it will crash in the course of the events

So my Question is: have you considered this possible fundamental Change?
OR do you say "I dont care what drives the deviation from my modell, if there is any" ?
*or do you even say: "no there will be no institutionaly or accredited Investors money, before this will happen Bitcoin will crash" ?

Wie man an der Skalierung sehen kann, ist es kein linearer Trend. Er ist bereits logarithmisch. Ich betrachte Bitcoin nur mit logarithmischer Skalierung. Der jetzige Trend ist bereits ein Ausbruch aus einem vorherigen logarithmischen Trend. Ein weiterer Ausbruch aus dem dargelegten logarithmischen Trend ist möglich, aber wie ich finde, unnatürlicher und auch riskanter. Ich habe ja nur 10% meiner Bitcoins verkauft. Ich bin weiterhin langfristig mit 90% investiert. Nur die 10% sind mein Trading Volumen.

Fundamentale Veränderungen hin oder her, einen weiteren Ausbruch nach oben aus einem bereits ausgebrochenen logarithmischen Trend ist sehr unwahrscheinlich, jedenfalls nicht ohne einer längeren Baisse Phase danach.

Wenn ich mutiger wäre, hätte ich 20% meiner Bitcoins verkauft, da, egal ob jetzt oder nach dem Erreichen der 10000er Marke, der Preis auf 4800-5000 zurückfallen kann. Deswegen verkaufe ich 10% jetzt und weitere 10% bei 10000. Dann bin ich immer noch mit 80% investiert und reite auf der Blase.

Klar, es kann natürlich dieses Mal ganz anders sein als bisher. Aber ich bin bestimmt schon 10 mal diesem Irrtum verfallen.

PS: Vereinfachte Betrachtungsweisen sind nach meiner Erfahrung meistens die Besten. Wenn man möchte, kann man auch alles verkomplizieren und nicht mehr verstanden werden.

habe mich schon gewundert warum in meinem linear scale (von Coinmarketcap.com) der Trend abweicht :D jaja Biologen und Graphen. Obwohl* coinmarketcap verzerrte Graphen ausspuckt habe ich das Gefühl.

vereinfachte Betrachtungen und nur diese sind für den Normal Fall die stabilste Konfiguration.
Deswegen finde ich deine Strategie als "Daily" relativ genial, basierend auf EINEM einfachen statistischen Argument

ein kompliziertes Modell macht auch das Zufällige aber auch nicht vorhersehbarer. Das einzige Problem welches halt bleibt, ist dass die 90% nur drin oder draußen sein können, wenn eine Korrektur eintritt. Man ist nicht gehedget und kann in dem Falle nur verlieren. Etwas dass mich stören würde. Aber das ist ja auch individuell und hängt davon ab wie viel die 90% am Gesamtinvestitionsvolumen ausmachen.

Dann bin ich mal gespannt, was die Zukunft bzw. deine Strategie bringt
