Personally I always did prefer Bitcoin Unlimited. I switched to Classic back when if first came out to so support since it had a BIP and voting.

It will be intresting to see if more will follow with donating to preserve Bitcoin. This will be a real game changer if more people support this.

Bitcoin Unlimited is Bitcoin Cash?

Will non-profit status bring them under a governmental pressure of any kind?

Every dealing with the government comes with lots of strings attached.

Do you think these strings will strengthen or weaken BU?

I wouldn't be surprised if it was severely weakened, at least in a "Is it still a cryptocurrency?" way. Adding more surveilance and being able to see who does what with their money is most certainly an objective the government has.

I wouldn't be surprised if Bitcoin at some point required an account name or something in order to have a wallet. But who knows.

Interested to see how this move is accepted.

Big step forward in my opinion. The Bitcoin block debate needs to be settled without the disruption seen with the ETH/ETC debacle being repeated .

whether bitcoin limited

I am a big fan of Bitcoin but is has very big limitations when it comes to privacy and the people closest to you watching your every move. I talk about this while visiting Area 51.
