Substratum is developing an open-source foundation for the decentralized web, providing free and unrestricted access to content for a new Web 3.0.
- The Substratum Network will be a worldwide collection of nodes that uses industry-leading cryptography to deliver secure content anywhere, all without the need for VPNs or Tor.
- No special software required for the average consuming users computer. Default browser works (Safari, Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer).
- Aim is to revolutionize the hosting industry with per-request billing via micro-transactions. These will all handled by blockchain technology and artificial intelligence.
- With Substratum, anyone will be able to offer their computing resources and earn cryptocurrency for providing those services.
- Remove Internet Censorship: For restricted areas such as China and North Korea, they will earn a higher rate for providing services inside those areas due to the higher inherent nature of risk. Substratum's vision is nothing less than democratizing and encouraging the flow of information amongst the global population without restrictions, true net neutrality.
