Market Update: Bitcoin On Track for 5K, Litecoin Continues Surge, Bitshares Booming, and More
Hi everyone. This market update covers BTC's price increase, Litecoin's continued surge, Bitshares's rise, and more crypto news. Read on below :)
Bitcoin On Track to Reach $5000
Bitcoin has been increasing for the past... well, forever! But in the past few days, Bitcoin has risen over its all-time high and is currently trading at about $4850. Take a look:
Given Bitcoin's trajectory and stability, it's safe to say that BTC will likely reach $5K very soon. Analysts and experts all over the world are also siding with this prediction, with some of them predicting even more bullish markets.
Litecoin's Surge
Litecoin has surged a huge amount in the past week (almost doubling) and is currently trading right below $90. LTC usually doesn't get enough credit for all it's done; earlier this year, it was trading at about $3; now it's about thirty times higher!
If LTC continues this tremendous growth, we might see $100 in the next week or so!
Bitshares Rising
In the past day, Bitshares went through a bump of over 10% in price. Currently trading at about $0.17, BTS has a market cap of around $450M, and is currently the 21st-ranked crypto.
Steem Price Update
And of course, we won't forget about our buddy STEEM :)
Steem's price is known to be volatile in the short-term, yet has risen about 4% in the past 24 hours. Steem is currently trading at about $1.52 USD.
SBD is especially volatile, and has been jumping up and down the $1-mark:
Steem Dollars are currently trading at about $1 at the time of this post, but are varying above and below.
Crypto Market
Overall, the crypto market is doing pretty good (piggybacking on BTC growth). The crypto market currently has a market cap of about $183B and a 24-hour volume of about $8B. All of the top five cryptos went through an increase in the past day, so I think this should be good for most investors/holders.
