Extreme opinions: Richard Heart
I think the first time I ran into one of his videos my gut reaction was to not like Richard. I mean, it seems pretty obvious that if I was holding on to the idea of "this is it", "We are on our way!" anyone who was calling for caution would be labeled enemy, but as you can imagine, I've come around with time.
A true Bitcoin OG
As you might already know, Richard has been around for a long time. He was, and is obviously one of the very early adopters of Bitcoin, one of the ones who mined back in the days when pools were not even a thing.
It's obvious that he's a bright man, he may not be charismatic and I will concede that much, but his points should not be dismissed. I appreciate the fact that he speaks his mind, as unpopular as his thoughts may be.
Today as I was watching some youtube videos, trying to grasp the big picture of what's going on, I found myself painfully agreeing with his views. Now, sales pitch aside, because at the end of the video he does pitch a product he has been working on, I do think it's worth watching for all of us.
The one thing I take from his short speech.... "Maybe, we should be listening to the market..."
lol, the fuck was that.
salt....so much salt...so so much iota salt...
btw transisto... thank you for the upvote :)
That is a good point that he said. The idea of make money easily with smart contracts in the way that the bank does, is a thing that could give more viability to the mainstream.
Great presentation that continues to press the importance of adoption in any protocol. We often focus on the price and forget that value as the underlying need for it to have a use case that is used among the community. While it gets you thinking of some cryptocurrencies out there, it gets me comfortable with what we are trying to achieve in Steem as our transactions are mostly engaged based which in itself is thr use case. Therefore, I could believe that value is being added despite the price.
I heard people say they'd buy after a 10% bounce... well there's been a 10% bounce in Steem
Yeah, I'm just not interested in a store of value. Although I'm not saying he is a wrong. Just that I'm not interested in that.
It's not something that makes me smile either... I mean, steem at least technically could be the peer to peer.. but btc, maybe not...

This time One year ago Richard Heart and Roger Ver had EXTREMELY negative perception in the crypto community due to their positions about the state of the crypto markets at that time.
My initial reaction, to both Richard and Roger, was that they rubbed me the wrong way but I always understood that they are coming from a place of integrity.
We should consider listening ( REALLY LISTENING ) to those we don't agree with.
