Craig Wright claims to be Satoshi Nakamoto yet again by filing copyright for writing the Bitcoin white paper and code

When someone says they’re Jesus, we generally label them as unstable. Well, the desire to be the man who released Bitcoin, the savior of the economically enslaved, may not be quite as megalomaniacal but it seems as if Craig Wright is really trying to be the face behind Bitcoin.

It’s hard to know if he is really the Messiah or not, but it’s curious that Dr Wright wants to be known as the man to write the Bitcoin white paper. And since that man is the anonymous Satoshi Nakamoto, at this point still a legendary name without a face, presumably anyone can make that claim. It’s ten years later and this is not the first attempt of Dr Wright to grab the limelight as the man who freed us from the days of slavery to the banks.

One thing is for sure and that is that he doesn’t like Bitcoin. I mean he has left Bitcoin to create the hardfork of Bcash, now a fork of a fork known as BcashSV. I know he calls it “Bitcoin Cash SV” but it’s not Bitcoin. It’s a fork. This is proof that he has tried to usurp the mantle of the ruler before. By trying to claim the name of Bitcoin for his fork, saying it is Satoshi’s Vision, he is effectively attempting to steal the show there and then already.

To be honest, I believe many Bitcoin enthusiasts are upset or perhaps just dismissive about it. This man must be an egotist, though I’m not saying anything. His actions speak for themselves. Anyone can pay the $30 to put in an application to copyright the Bitcoin white paper, but who would want to do that when its an open source, free document? He wants the reputation. It’s as if he has missed the point by his actions. Actually by trying to copyright it he is showing that he is not Satoshi.

Besides that, all he needs to do it move some of the original Bitcoin from Satoshi’s wallet. That Bitcoin has never been moved since day one apparently, millions of dollars worth, or is it billions already? If not, it soon will be. Well, Dr Wright could perform the miracle and roll the coin from one wallet to another and the masses will believe and he can have his followers. But none of the coin has moved. The South Koreans love him anyway, or at least his BcashSV. Just over the past few days the price of his coin has doubled. Yes that’s right, the coin went up over 100% overnight and retraced somewhat but no by much. This was after Dr Wright made the copyright application and also went and sued yet another Twitter user for defaming him. His opponent, McCormack, will get some crowd funding and pro bono lawyers to defend him from Craig Wright, since the majority of the Bitcoin community dislikes this imposter.

The man is after name and fame, he wants to be Mr Bitcoin, Mr Nakamoto. Well his attempt could be futile. He isn’t getting the popular vote and he isn’t getting the government vote either. He may have filed for copyright but the US government is not necessarily recognizing the Australian computer scientist. He may have tried but no one is buying it. Nevertheless, he got the publicity and his coin pumped 100% in hours. That says a lot. But it doesn’t say that Dr Wright is Satoshi Nakamoto.

Do you think it is because his name is Wright that he has the obsession with being the one to write the white paper and the actual code that is the blockchain that is Bitcoin? Registering it certainly won’t give him a right to claim ownership or copyright directly, or make it his intellectual property so that he can sue more people, which he likes to do. Like Hodlonaut who tweeted that Dr Wright is a “very sad and pathetic scammer. Clearly mentally ill. The list of people being sued grows and Dr Wright’s reputation does too, as does his coin value.

Let’s see where this goes. It could get even more interesting. #CraigWrightIsAFraud may be trending, and the new Messiah on the blockchain may have some miracles to preform yet.
