Sanctions
Amid the Executive Orders issued by the Treasury Department and the US Presidency itself against characters representing the administration of the Presidency of Venezuela, bitcoin transactions in Venezuela reach historical levels. Commercial volumes were never so high.

It should be remembered that bitcoin is usually used as a refuge value in times of crisis and high stress situations, especially in hyperinflationary economies such as Venezuela.

It should also be noted that CoinDance data is P2P transactions. These types of exchanges are made between bolivars and bitcoin, and vice versa, in Venezuela. Therefore, they are not supposed to be sanctioned by Trump's blockade to Maduro.

The Executive Orders dictate that no services may be provided or any type of activity with the administration of the Venezuelan Presidency, or with companies linked to this group of people, including civil and military ministers, in the US. Whoever does it, he says, will be subject to sanctions. He adds that it does not affect operations between private parties and that it has exceptions as far as humanitarian issues are concerned.

Figures

August 2019
The commercial volume of bitcoin in Venezuela has historical record.

Nearly 68K million sovereign bolivars moved into operations with the cryptocurrency, according to statistics firm CoinDance, based on Localbitcoin movements.

In Venezuela, the previous record was recorded in the week of July 20, when CoinDance accounted for 58K million bolivars. It is difficult to establish an average level, as seen with perspective, 2019 has been a year on the rise.

This last peak coincides with the fact that in Washington, President Donald Trump signed an Executive Order that blocks the operations of the administration of President Nicolás Maduro in the United States, apparently the owners of bitcoin in Venezuela took it into account.

September 2019
CoinDance, a cryptocurrency monitoring center, reported that Venezuela reached a Bitcoin marketing record of 114K million bolivars on the Localbitcoinportal until August 31.

They also noted that this represented a significant increase in the commercialization of cryptocurrency as the first week of September 2019 stood at 77K million bolivars.

It should be noted that for this September 3 the value of 1 BTC is located at 10,416 usd, equivalent to 260,400,000 bolivars.

PERSONAL ANALYSIS
Currently there are numerous formal complaints against representatives of the Venezuelan Administration, which rest in international instances such as IACHR, OAS and UN, which indicate the violation of Human Rights, Cases of corruption, money laundering, drug trafficking and terrorism financing.

Literally Venezuela has become a Terrorist Narco-State that operates with the support of the Guerrillas and Paramilitary Armies, who are protected by the Government and enjoy free transit in the National territory.

This is not a secret to anyone, nor is it a statement based on rumors. This is an affirmation that I make with all the responsibility and knowledge of the case, since I had first-hand testimonials from inhabitants of border states (Táchira and Mérida) who have lived in their own flesh and gave me statements where they claim to be victims of armed groups who daily they wander the streets of the main cities, charging “vaccine” to the merchants and cattle ranchers, in fact, they even establish “curfews” where they prohibit citizens from leaving their homes.

CONCLUSION
We could establish a relationship between this criminal condition of the Venezuelan State and the peaks in the commercialization of BTC in local markets every time new sanctions are established by the US.

The anonymity of BTC, the P2P transactions that escape the sanctions and all the large volume of capital resulting from criminal actions, form a perfect mix.

More than 90% of the Venezuelan population is poor and does not have access to crypto assets (even less to BTC) does not enjoy basic services such as electricity and drinking water, access to food is increasingly precarious while education and health They are about to collapse.

Then we can assume that the owners of these large amounts of money that are mobilized in the local markets are looking for the refuge that BTC gives them to legitimize the fortunes they have obtained as a result of the suffering of most of the population.

Hello Friend @juanmolina

I think you are very right in stating how the management of the BTC in Venezuela is and if it is possible that it is mostly by those groups with great economic power and they use it to be able to wash large fortunes chosen by terrorism, drugs, Sale of illegal gold, coltan, and stop telling you where these criminals who hold positions in the government have the resources, and you know I can tell you with knowledge of cause in the matter, if in Venezuela the laws were fulfilled, whatever Easier to demonstrate how those corrupt have so much money, because the Venezuelan is a pantalllero or presumed and the worst of those who have a lot of money from corruption are much more presumed, just knowing where they lived before and where they live now and asking for Affidavit of Goods there can be easily grasped.

Another thing friend, you must clarify something very important so that our reader friends know and do not confuse, The government of the United States, "NO, IS BLOCKING TO THE COUNTRY."

Friends readers let me clarify this point:

The government of the United States, issued block orders in an "*** individual way for some people who are part of the government or have some very direct relationship with the government of Venezuela ***."

It is definitely necessary to clarify that. since that thesis of saying that the United States is blocking the country is sure the mental game used by criminals of the Venezuelan government to be able to impersonate victims

Those big criminals of the victim government have nothing.

Friend great article because putting aside what I said again is very right in your publication.

Un gran abrazo hermano.

I see that you are well informed of our country situation.

You know that we at Project Hope usually do not do this kind of publications. That is, we avoid policy issues.
But really, brother, I couldn't help it anymore ...

This our reality, invades us, alienates us.

I tried to be as objective as possible, not using rumors or unconfirmed news. The rest are only personal opinions.

Thank you for complementing my work by giving your valuable opinion.

A hug brother!

All this looks and is a disaster. Venezuela's economy has for years been classified as "the most miserable of the world", but we have such a strong movement of money in the blockchain that puts us in the top3 in the world ...

You are right to suspect that a large part of these large capitals are of origin when at least doubtful, after all we have many stories in Venezuela of foremen who have washed money stolen from public coffers.

Adding now, in recent decades, the suspicion that there are terrorist groups operating in the territory with the support, at least tacit, of the government, because things do not improve.

I have usually read that cryptocurrency exchange operations such as bitcoin is not entirely anonymous, because you can track the amounts when being exchanged for fiat money, I think it was something with the KYC ... excuse me that you do not remember quite well.

Of course, in order to track it, it would be necessary to have the will to do it and that arises from the fact that some gain can be envisaged by the person who does it, so while a group with power is not interested, nothing will be resolved in this regard.

There is also the problem that not only terrorist groups can use this market to wash, even large criminal gangs, called "Mega-bands" it seems they are using it.

As the Mega-bands are already international in scope, being able to move their capitals outside their borders to provide their cells in other countries is something that interests them. It is terrible, but it helps to understand how some of these criminals have appeared in other countries of the region with money, weapons and plans to carry out crimes in those places.

Greetings professor @pedrobrito2004.

I have usually read that cryptocurrency exchange operations such as bitcoin is not entirely anonymous, because you can track the amounts when being exchanged for fiat money, I think it was something with the KYC ... excuse me that you do not remember quite well remove .

It is certainly so.
And as you also affirm, there must be a willingness to investigate. But as we know, in Venezuela this will not happen. Most common crimes occur every day before everyone's eyes and they also go unpunished, so this will not be the difference.

The surprising thing is how these people have so much ingenuity to commit crimes in the least thoughtful ways, but they have no creativity or will to solve the problems that afflict us.

Thanks for comment.

I think you are right, to my sadness, there is no interest in investigating crimes in which people of great economic power may be involved, nor is there any desire to solve the problems of the majority of the population.

Wooo brother @juanmolina, thanks for this interesting piece.

Then we can assume that the owners of these large amounts of money that are mobilized in the local markets are looking for the refuge that BTC gives them to legitimize the fortunes they have obtained as a result of the suffering of most of the population.

Seeing it from that point of view makes a lot of sense, it is true that many Venezuelans are taking advantage of the benefits that Bitcoin offers in terms of security and ease of handling to help their families, but it is also true that they are exhorbitant amounts of money and this leaves a lot what to think

So you can be right in your statement.

Right. It surprises me a bit that there is people in Venezuela that still doubt about the guerrilla strategy of the Venezuelan dictatorship to keep quiet the population.

Obviously the ceaseless propaganda has strong effects on those who don't like to think beyond the boundaries of their political religion.

It's not a secret that every public manifestation against the government is silenced by the State forces and the paramilitary groups, joined. There is plenty of material that can prove, beyond any rational doubt, that deplorable and dictatorial strategy.

If that happens openly in the very capital of the country, just imagine what kind of things are done in the far neglected regions.

@juanmolina, This is good because in my opinion Cryptocurrency can pull out Venezuela from Financial issue specifically and over the period of time we can see growth of Altcoins too in Venezuela.

Saludos @juanmolina, exitos con esta publicación!

Dear @juanmolina

Great analysis buddy.

bitcoin transactions in Venezuela reach historical levels. Commercial volumes were never so high.

I still remember the time when I've learned for the first time that crypto is becoming very popular in Venezuela. Since then I've seen your country kind of as a "guinea pig". Country where local currency died and regular people started using crypto. Where mass adoption is simply mindblowing.

That was one of the reasons why I got closer to you and some other Venezuelans. From that moment I knew that I want to become close to this "world", closer to it's people and witness how is it evolving.

Yours, Piotr

It makes me really sad to see that this once-great idea of crypto mostly serves rich people.
