RE: This country has the potential to restore gender equality to Blockchain @BlockRush

Most users/developers only go by their online handle so gender is irrelevant. The best contributors will rise to the top. There is no way to tell whether a male or female or whatever of the 96 genders people are pushing these days wrote a piece of code just by looking at it.

Exactly, gender is irrelevant.

Should be irrelevant, but the fact that there is no tendency towards a 50/50 (random selection) indicates a systemic problem.
BTW, do you remember the cases of women programmers hiding their gender to avoid problems related to that? Sexism is still a thing, even in technology.

You suggest there should be a 50/50 distribution. Thats where things go wrong.

I am not suggesting there should be a 50/50 distribution, I suggest that in a non-sexist situation, statistics would tend to 50/50. It is not the same

You tie it it to the concept 'non sexist situation'. Is everything not 50/50 distributed 'sexist' then?

Well, I see your statistics are not excelent, so end of discussion. Sorry if you fear of women taking your job, you can still go to cry at/pol/

I see only one shying away when pressed for an explanation.

There is no explanation needed. Population of the study shows aprox 50% of people in working age is man, 50% is women. If no ties, allegations, recrimination or social constructs were given (no sex-discrimination) the experiment for a big enough population will give aprox. 50% of each genders being programmers. As result of experiment shows contrary, the function that determines the posibility of access to "work as a programmer" is not "random/no discriminatory". Sorry mate, the only one who has given no explanation is you, "you are tied to recriminate sexism" is your only crybaby argument.
