Japanese financial regulators hope that the encryption industry will grow under appropriate supervision
On August 22, the Financial Services Authority (FSA), the Japanese financial regulator, said in an interview with Reuters that the agency hopes that the cryptocurrency industry will “grow under proper supervision”.

Toshihide Endo, director of the Japan Financial Services Authority, told Reuters that he believes the agency's goal in developing the encryption industry is to find a "balance" between consumer protection and technological innovation. The commissioner said:
"We have no intention of over-restricting the encryption industry. We want to see it grow under proper supervision.
In July of this year, FSA has been considering the legal basis for the regulation of encrypted exchanges, from the current legal basis of the Payment Services Act to the Financial Instruments and Transactions Act (FIEA).

Earlier this month, Britain's Financial Services Authority (FSA) released a report on a number of encryption currency results exchange operators on-site inspections, noted during an inspection, which "give priority to the protection of investors."
