Bitcoin has become politicalized. 2nd generation blockchains will be more likely to be used in mass. I am putting my money behind Vitalik with previous years BTC earnings. If I have to choose BTC vs. BCH longterm, game theory suggest that Bitcoin Cash would become the Bitcoin since miners will constantly move over to BCH to mine over time. Cash has better chance to be accepted as payment therefore further increasing its utility and value. The currency is only good as the utility it offers.
