I bought a 1/3 position today in BTC....got in around your $3400 line.
Might be heading down more....I am keeping an eye on that $2900-$3000 area...will another batch at that level if we get there.
What are your fibs says....how far down can this really go and still be in realistic fib ratios.

so looks like you already had a order filled @ 3453$ whats the reason for that one? just incase it keeps on going upwards and that was the bottom? didnt you say itll hit around 2000 - 2600 soon too? why buy here? to sell at 36-3800? or did you buy assuming its about to hit ATH?

Thank you! Do you buy on the way up only? Does this require setting limit stop orders only after the prices crosses a certain threshold so that it doesn't get triggered on the way down?
Only when bottom is sensed to be near. That could be during both up and downs. For the above current price buys, yes, they are if this then limit buy.
So if the rung has been crossed and we feel that it's a bottom we could just buy at the current lowest price and "close" the rung and then just repeat the same with other rungs?
Yes, or enter all the orders as limit buys and walk away and come back end of every day to see whic ones got filled.
