Word to the Wise

Today's featured scam is another fake cloud based mining site. I present to you Miner Vault!

Unfortunately for these hapless would be thieves, their web site is just pathetic. If they are ever going to make a living off of luring unsuspecting people into sending them money, they are definitely going to have to amp up their game. First, they have ridiculously low mining plans.

How are they going to make a decent living off of people if they target such a low amount to steal? Second, their offerings are confusing.

Cipher currency coin mining? What the heck is that? Is Cipher Currency the name of the coin I will be mining or did you just get a bad English translator. I don't know, but if you're going to steal my money you better get on message. Third, they need to try to be more helpful.

That's not a very informative piece on how I can send you my money. If you're going to make it hard for me to be taken advantage of, I think I will go somewhere else to be cheated. These Bozos are apparently new to the scam business. Do yourself a favor and avoid them. They just aren't worth the effort. Try a real cloud mining service that is much easier to use. And legit sites won't steal your money either.

Money For Nothing

Today's free money is an airdrop for 20 tokens for the startup decentralized cryptocurrency exchange Woter.

To get your 20 Woter tokens, just follow the link and fill out the brief registration form. You will need to provide them with an ERC20 compatible Ethereum wallet address to receive the tokens in.

If you don't already have an ERC20 Ethereum wallet, you can get one from MyEtherWallet.com for free.

Woter is still in the development and pre-ico phase. So you may or may not get tokens that will one day be worth something. But since the tokens are free just for signing up, why not grab a few while you can. After all Kucoin didn't exist just a few months ago either, but now it's a half billion dollar coin backing an exchange that trades over $65,000,000 a day in crypto. With a little luck, Woter may be the next big hit. And since it's decentralized, there are less risks of it getting hacked like so many others have been.

The Report

The cryptocurrency recovery continues today. While there is a lot of red in the market today, that's to be expected after several days of big gains as some coins give back a little of their gains, while others take a chance and charge ahead.

Bitcoin is currently trading at $10,137, up about 0.5% since this time yesterday. A day of rest and consolidation is a good thing and could lead to continued strong upward movement in the coming days.

Steem is trading at $4.57, up almost 1% in the last 24 hours while SBD continues to pull even further ahead of Steem. Currently SBD is trading at $5.76, up over 1.5% since yesterday. For the first time in several weeks, I saw earlier that Steem was now trading for about 0.8 SBD in the Steemit market. If you have some SBD laying around, this might be a good opportunity to use it to power up your Steemit account.

The supply of liquid Steem increased by only a fraction of a percent overnight. Let's hope some new whales in the making start soaking up all that Steem in the markets and start showering us all with their massive new upvotes and push the price of Steem to new all time highs. Then we could all enjoy, as Robin Leach would say, "Champagne wishes and caviar dreams".
