Coinbase Custody Launches!
Unless you’ve been under a rock it has been a brutal bear market in crypto over the last six months.
Twice in June we broke below $6,000, and lower prices looked to be certain.
But the worse may be behind us as Coinbase finally launched its institutional custody product.
As recently as June 29 bitcoin stood at $5,839. Now it’s at $6,605, a tidy 13.1% gain.
And we may have more gains ahead as Coinbase officially announced today that Coinbase Custody is open for business.
Over the coming weeks, Coinbase will be on-boarding a set of world-class clients that includes leading crypto hedge funds, exchanges and ICO teams.
Their mission is to make digital currency investment accessible to every eligible financial institution and hedge fund in the world.
According to reports it will be available in both the US and Europe.
Basically, that means we should see some money flowing into cryptos.
I think the immediate beneficiaries will be BTC, ETH, LTC, and BCH as this is what Coinbase offers right now.
