Checking Out ICOs on NEO

in #bitcoin6 years ago

Less than two weeks ago I wrote how NEO has the NEP5 token standard, similar to Ethereum’s ERC20. And that means we’re seeing an increasing number of ICOs on the platform.

You can find a list here, put together by @bytesizecapital. Today I’m going to check out some of the active ICOs on NEO.

Also, keep in mind the NEO DevCon in San Francisco starts this Tuesday.

First up is PikcioChain. It’s a secure, permission-based platform that specializes in the collection, certification and exchange of personal data. The benefit for individuals is that they can have control of their personal data. And businesses can exchange and trade data in a secure way.

The PKC token sale runs to the end of March. There’s currently a 15% bonus and for one ETH you get 236 PKC. And for one NEO you get 30 PKC. NEO bought 660,000 PKC worth nearly $3 million.

Next up is THEKEY. THEKEY is now a second-generation IDV (ID verification) solution for the internet using BDMI technology. BDMI stands for “Blockchain based Dynamic Multi-Dimension Identification.”

Per THEKEY it’s product is the perfect solution for identity in the digital world. It is ‘The Key’ for migrating people from the real world to the online world. THEKEY crowdsale started January 15 and is already closed.

Finally, there’s Universal Health Coin. It’s setting itself up as a public benefit corporation and wants to reinvent the whole healthcare finance and payment dynamic by leveraging the blockchain.

UHC believes it can solve a multiple of problems and wrote what amounts to a treatise on the subject. I haven’t gotten through the whole thing yet. UHC did a pre-sale in December and will be launching the public token sale in March.

Overall it’s a very positive time now for NEO with the active ICOs, ICOs in the pipeline (which I’ll write more about in the future), and the upcoming DevCon.

I am eagerly awaiting the ICO for the Neon Exchange (NEX). With the speed the NEO network is capable of, NEX has the potential to be the fastest decentralized exchange on the planet, not to mention the fact that NEX may become the go-to exchange for Chinese investors once the new regulations are unveiled in China.

I'm excited for NEX too... deserves its own writeup.
And yes, NEO has always been big on compliance and I think it will benefit from that position too.

Joke time!

Lol I missed Will on SNL last night... have to check that out!

I love him!
He's fucking hilarious! :)
Prob in my top 3 comedians of all time!
Thank you so much for the vote, I know it's basically just a meme.. but it's meant to lighten someone's day/heart. :)

Its moon...Finally a positive view from the government of The Netherlands. A starting point to make it the Silicon Valley of the smart economy that's coming! $NEO

Yes! I love this!
They're extremely smart for that!
Only thing I'd say to watch out for.. is once these diff governments start using crypto/differently backed currencies.... watch out for the U.S.... our shitty fucking government wants control over all money in the world and if the Federal Reserve(not even actually government run....) starts to lose it's slaves...... our p.o.s. government will start to get even more aggressive again.. like it always does..

They'll stop at nothing to keep control..
We gotta figure out a way to destroy them completely..

true that

because ico is fun and amazing in its usage

That's great @g-dubs

APEX seems to be crazy hyped, will be interesting when that hits exchanges

now it is great indeed in this case. already many ICO providers that have been bought in the internet world

Big on NEO, OMG, EOS this year. Hedging against ETH!

Agreed on all... adding in a little ADA too.

What do you think about Stellar as a platform for ICO-s ?

Could be interesting, I just haven't heard much about upcoming Stellar ICOs. ETH, NEO and QTUM seem to be the leaders right now.

Mobius on Stellar - $39m ... hard to keep up w all these but very interesting.

Yes :) I am going to research more about Stellar nad ICO-s.
