Achieving Some Crypto Diversity with the Token Fund

The Token Fund pitches itself as simplest way for investors to get into the decentralized economy.

It launched in March of 2017 and by May it had raised over $1 million from investors.

It’s an easy way to own a diverse basket of cryptocurrencies. You can see the current portfolio allocation below. Right now the fund owns 15 different crytpocurrencies.

The other less obvious benefit is that you don’t have to deal with the storage of a bunch of different coins.

The fund is managed by Viktor Shpakovsky and Vladimir Smerkis.

What you do is sign up on the website where you can then purchase TKN tokens that represent a stake in the fund. You can buy in BTC or ETH.

Be mindful though this is not the same TKN as TokenCard (TKN), which is listed on Coinmarketcap. I don’t understand how their can be two ERC20 TKN tokens. If you can clear this up please leave a comment.

Also be aware that there is a 5% entry and exit fee for the TokenFund. This is my biggest gripe, that’s a big vig. If you’re going to invest in TokenFund you should have a long-term horizon in mind to make it worthwhile. They’ll have to lower this to be competitive in the future in my opinion.
