The year 2017 witnessed what can be described as the fastest acceptance in the history of a new technology: Blockchain, or the use of an open-source, distributed accounting ledger, with the ability to record and manage transactions more efficiently and reliably than today's "intermediary" institutions and entities.

Bitcoin, the world's first and best known Blockchain-based currency, and currently immune to bank collusions that have so successfully "managed" alternative asset prices such as gold and silver, took a lunar photo. And even now, it's still in high orbit. This in turn, caused the brightness of other currencies called altcoins, or tokens, also based on the same underlying Blockchain technology.

It is estimated that around 1,600 new coins/tokens have been launched so far, and possibly another 1,000 will come to light in the coming months. While not everyone can succeed in their stated goals, even skeptics reluctantly admit that at least a handful will inevitably change the world as we know it. The end result is that the public is understandably clamoring for an exchange mechanism between traditional currencies and these new digital counterparts.

The solution? The new A-SDR or "digital coin basket", which will operate under the control of a decentralised global management body: - the "International Council for the Exchange of Digital Assets" (IDAXC). IDAXC will monitor and facilitate the exchange of digital tokens based on a basket of three known currencies or tokens: Bitcoin, Ether and ACCoin. Of the mixture, Bitcoin and Ether are perhaps the best known.

However, ACCoin began its own internal development more than a decade ago, long before bitcoin was officially launched. It was based on a single model, in which tokens could have rights over the underlying assets (tangible, such as land, and intangible, such as financial paper); therefore, it was effectively supported by something quantifiable and substantial. This is a very important distinction because, even today, Bitcoin, despite its high valuation, is not supported by anything.

The visionaries behind ACCoin understood from the outset that to achieve their goal they would need more than just a coin or token, they would need a complete Eco-System. Not only to capture and monitor the underlying asset, but also to allow the future movement of that asset (inside and outside the digital universe); and even to anticipate currency conversion to the original asset at the request of the holder. They also foresaw the problem of moving digital tokens into and out of the banking universe (fiat currency), and planned accordingly for that as well.

By anchoring itself to ACC (ACCoin), BTC and ETH, the A-SDR Fund aims to become the leading global mechanism for the distribution and settlement of digital assets. This in turn distinguishes ACCoin as the first standard digital currency, with the ability to exchange and liquidate digital assets worldwide. This also allows for the creation and function of the "Exchange Rate Index" within the A-SDR digital currency basket, thus, for the first time, A-SDR establishes a definite Value Exchange and Settlement Standard linked to traditional digital financial currencies ("fiat"), finally becoming a "real bridge" to traditional financial systems. To date, more than 100 banks around the world have launched a digital asset exchange and settlement system, which is the start of a global digital asset exchange and settlement network.
