What are your Bitcoin and Ethereum price predictions for the end of 2017?
I am predicting ETH at $800 more, BTC around $5000 by the end of 2017. I would also agree with the previous Quorian, if you are looking to invest 75% invest in ETH now and 25% at BTC. I say this because while BTC is at a slow, lateral, definitely upward point, everyone is hesitant to predict in it's future because of the hard fork in the foreseeable future. However, just last year, BTC was trading at $450; Close to where we are currently with Ethereum.
ETH on the other hand, has a rather bright future ahead. But do not be fooled, these cryptocurrencies are very different. While Bitcoin, and I repeat will be the main digital currency, ETH is a lot, VERY different. ETH is the Internet of the future. It is a blocked block technology being adopted by major companies such as Samsung, Intel and Microsoft. ETH allows to create new applications with this new technology and, in addition, the applications that are created are able to sell their own tokens to the public. As more tokens and applications are created, ETH has nowhere to go but upwards... So basically the ETH value is within ETH if that makes any sense. The more these large companies produce these decentralized applications and ETH programs, the greater the price units. You have to invest in ETH to use ETH. It is speculated that ETH will continue to grow long after BTC reaches its market limit.
To put it in the basic example possible, while BTC is like buying gold, buying Ethereum is like buying all the land and all the gold that is set on that land. Ethereum is the future.
And about that being in a bubble. A bubble is not... NOT possible in a digital world. You heard that correctly, it just is not possible. Will the price of BTC and ETH always be volatile? Of course, supply and demand. But, to think that these have bubble qualities is full speculation. Could the BTC price drop to $ 1500 for the year 2017, no doubt, but that's due to some problems and kinks that still have to work. Even so, if you are holding BTC I am assuming that you are holding for the long term anyway. Here's an amazing article on why a digital bubble is not possible.
However, do not invest based on my advice; I am not a merchant in any way. I am simply a complete enthusiast nerd who is so excited that we geeks have our own gold now and an internet in our future that is true, based on the user.
I really appreciate the comments, upvote, resteem and follow me @djmalith
where do you see Litecoin in 1 year considering it's technology and potential
Solid post. Good to see I'm not the only one who thinks like this. How much do we actually know about a coin. It's surprising to me people invest in cryptos that they know nothing about. Personally I always use: https://www.coincheckup.com They seem to give this complete indepth analysis of all cryptocoins. Sorted by team, product, company, advisors, previous investors, etc. On: https://www.coincheckup.com/coins/Ethereum#analysis For a complete Ethereum Investment research report.
good work..
Thanks bro..
well put mate, I would say exactly the same thing, ETH is much more than a cryptocurrency , its potential is endless.
For the prediction, I would say $500 for ETH and $3K for BTC. I did a little survey about ETH price prediction last friday https://steemit.com/ethereum/@abou/i-compiled-150-ethereum-predictions-here-is-the-result
It is a great survey.. Thank you so much for sharing.. keep it up..
"$12,000 BTC and $300 STEEM!!"
