In the modern era humans have harnessed our knowledge of technology to master our surroundings. Our ability to master our environment and its elements has become so great , we have even outperformed the nature of our earth in certain cases. Take indoor farming for example, with precise lighting and an irrigation system in place, we have become capable of growing produce faster than nature itself, rewriting the rules on how we produce food in the future. The Gutenberg printing press gave us the ability to reproduce information, changing how we shared tomes and books. Alexander Bells invention of the telephone allowed us to communicate effectively across any distance altering how we reached each other. More recently the creation of the internet allowed us to master how we communicate with each other near instantly. It is these technologies that have been the driver of mankind's evolution. These innovations have shaped our society and will continue to shape our society as new technology continues to rewrite the rules. We can see the rules being rewritten right now. The innovation of the automobile has allowed us to master travelling large distances, however technology has become more capable than that. Soon our technology will have mastered the automobile as a whole, being able to operate entirely on its own, independent of an operator, again rewriting the prior rules. For many decades we have relied on fossil fuels and coal to provide us with energy. These very methods that powered both our homes and some of the worlds largest economies will to have their rules rewritten to. The increased development of solar panels and renewable energy will sweep a century old industry from its feet. Societies rules on trust and monetary value will soon be drastically changed. For thousands of years trust and value has been associated with some form of money. This monetary system has been established based on trust between the issuer and the user. The user entrust that the issuer's bill or currency will hold value where ever the individual wishes to spend it. While this structure may seem to work in theory, it has become a breeding ground for corruption. Today we are witnessing technology rewrite the rules. Bitcoins and its underlying technologies have enabled us to establish a system of trust without the requirement for any central authority or watch dog. The rules of the system are enforced through consensus algorithms while treating all participants as equals. Through this system no central point of power is established, resulting in a completely decentralized system abolishing the breeding ground for corruption. The adoption and usage of this technology will rewrite the rules once again, while disrupting societies largest and oldest industry. Soon we will have mastered communicating trust and value among one another, without the authorization of an established organization. Bitcoin will be the technology to rewrite those rules.
