Amazon is always ahead of the game. Ebay has been toying with adding btc as payment method, so Amazon is likely to implement sooner rather than later
I agree Amazon is ahead of the game but not on Bitcoin, for me Bitcoin acceptance is a no brainer for a company like Amazon. I can only think its due to legal issues with Amazon being a US company.
I believe you are right, as Alibaba could equally implement crypto payment ($XRP use was rumored early this fall) but are not so far! Probably making too much fiat to be worried about regulatory suits using crypto
