Thanks, i had the similar thoughts. Guys ripple is poison right now for crypto. I think it is the next big attack on our decentralized paying system. It did not work out with "fake new" and negative media campaigns . Now they are rushing the coin ripple and might let it down. A lot of people that are just in crypto to make money will follow the ripple hype and get disappointed. Not only about ripple but about the whole market. Just the once believing in a decentralized payment system will remain and we need to stay strong and together, because we might face some hard times :/
Well said! purely a gas chamber for the crypto space but instead people are walking in voluntarily, the dumb ones that is!

There seems to be a lot of ill-informed hysteria in this discussion. I'm not saying Ripple is all good, or all bad, but we need to calm down and stick to the facts. NOW they are rushing the coin Ripple? The Ripple project has been around since 2004, with Ripplepay, and the coin has been around since 2014. That's hardly rushing now, is it?
And you might be right that it's an attack on our decentralized paying system. But you do realise, don't you, that Ripple IS decentralized, don't you? The Ripple protocol confirms financial transactions via a network of distributed servers, and anyone can own a server. The ledger is distributed across all servers - in other words, decentralized.
EDIT: My apologies, the Ripple network IS designed to be ruled by a centralised network. My bad. However, the network is also designed to operate without the Ripple company, if necessary.
I'm all for open discussion, and I'm not a Ripple advocate by any means. Shit, I only bought my first Ripple a couple of weeks back. But let's not let hysteria, misinformation and assumption pollute an otherwise interested debate.
Ripple indeed has been around for awhile, but they are rushing. you don't get 70+ billion from only people investing, The banks are pumping the coin and those investing in it basically are saying here you go bank please use my precious crypto's to your own ends., any investor investing in ripple does not understand the bigger picture at play here.
The Banks will have to find a way to fund their wars sooner or later.
Anything that is Bank Related in a Decentralized industry is hostile and should absolutely be banished imo, there are enough white hackers to rip Ripple apart and i hope by god that this happens in the very near future. You do realise that in the past Taxation was the cause of the enslavement system right? Well im here to make it very clear that Ripple could begin using the Non-Taxation system to Enslave the entire market without them even knowing it.
These people behind it are not idiots you know, they have been studying human psycology for 100's of years
If Ripple even reaches 1 second of the top market cap passing bitcoin, that's it that's, game over. that would likely be the end of Bitcoin as we know it. Because that signifies a total virtual collapse
Now its not about losing hope or hysteria but thats simply the fact of the matter, i simply cannot understand that a Bank Crypto is allowed in a decentralized network.
I do see a strong Competitor ahead nontheless, Raiblocks could easily take Bitcoin over in the Future once people see the power behind it. it could leave ripple eating dust.
The only thing right now that can reverse the psycological mind game going on now is Super speed Transaction Cryptos, And if the Lightning Network comes out Then Ripple has most likely lost, so i wouldn't be surprised if ripple launches massive hack attacks against the lightning network once it goes online.
either way these next 2-5 years are a make or break it for the crypto world.
and Blockchain in the end is but a transitionary system it won't be around for long.
It's an interesting point of view, and one that I am thinking about a lot at the moment. I shall post my own thoughts in the coming days...
