Looking at their code, it should be fairly easy to add Steemit support. I thought about doing it myself but I didn't see much response from Steemians.
Upvoted all you've posted last 7 days to show some support. Seems like something that would be a good candidate for growth funding project. Just having your coin listed among the 8 supported by the Nano S would bring some attention to steem and reassure people willing to secure large Steem amount as an investment.

Since I own a ledger and I looked a bit into the code, I proposed the idea. It might take me some time since I am not C/C++ fluent but it seems feasible.
I will make a post about how I would see it working, to get some feedback too, and then go bother the people of Legder on their Reddit.
