I would imagine that a lot of people that knew about bitcoin, but didn't want to get into the market for fear of being too late, have been buying with both hands on these declines.
This would partially account for the surge of active addresses.

I think it was probably the bottom. The two questions i'm interested in are: Do we go sideways for awhile before a big uptrend, or a big fast recovery?
Will altcoins lag as bitcoin rises, or will enough money and interest in the entire crypto space make all coins surge at once?

I think we might still have some weak hands around that will keep the price down, so probably sideways for a while until whales decide to jump in once we get some good news such as Coinbase adopting Segwit and more advances on the Lightning Network. Tether would be a Black Swan lurking also, gotta keep an eye on that one. regards!

Looking at that chart, I would want to wait a bit longer to have a confirmation. I also wonder if transaction volume can be a good proxy?

This is really a great news after s much depression. We all were depresed at this huge dip. Finally, good news arrived to satisfy.
