Ethereum Cash (ECASH): The strange looking token...

Recently, I noticed, this token Ethereum Cash (ECASH) started spiking in coinmarketcap https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/ethereumcash/
When I tried to find more information, I could not find much at their formal web site https://www.ethereumcash.technology/. It looks very strange... I do not want to say that it might be spam, but, does any one of you have understood anything about this ECASH?
