THIS is the principal reason to own cryptocurrency. It’s not about price speculation. Too many people are buying Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc. to gamble on the price. This totally defeats the whole objective.
The idea isn’t to trade paper money for Bitcoin, hoping to trade that Bitcoin back for more paper money later. Would you do this with actual gold or silver? No you wouldn't. If you're smart and think long term, you would buy and hold such assets.
There are far less volatile ways to make money and enjoy a great risk-adjusted return. Cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin allow you to do this.
Cryptocurrency is about divorcing yourself from a dated and unjust financial system that has never missed an opportunity to abuse you. This is what makes it worth understanding. This is especially true if you’re naturally skeptical of the idea or have already passed judgment on Bitcoin as being a ‘scam’ without having any firsthand knowledge. I was no different to many of you but I decided to learn and find out for myself.
Cryptocurrency is the future of finance and money as you perceive it now. Embracing new technology can be prosperous for societies. The same argument is also true for individuals too.

I truly believe this is the future and we will all eventually be able to shop with this currency in the same way we do now, but without the criminal activity from the banks, regards Gez...
