Bitcoin ATM: Trying to buy DASH
I noticed that there was a new Bitcoin ATM when I went on CoinATMRadar yesterday. This ATM resides in a Shopping Centre not that far from me, so I set off on a quest to buy whatever coins they offered. This ATM offered DASH and BTC at the time of writing. It now offers LTC as well as the other two.
Today, was, well interesting to say the least. I withdrew some money from my bank account and headed to the ATM. It was already in use when I arrived, so I went and got some food while I waited.

A bit of trouble with the Bitcoin ATM
When I got back, the ATM was no longer in use, GREAT! So I inserted a SCOTTISH £10 banknote, no luck. I thought, must be because of the new polymer notes. I tried a SCOTTISH £20 banknote, and no luck again, you DON'T accept local currency?
So, not realizing there was a closer branch, I walked all the way back to my bank, to ask for some English banknotes. After they went through piles of cash, they managed to find enough English banknotes.
Now, I headed back, sure that it would accept these notes, and to no surprise, it did! It devoured them without any complaints. I chose to take it as DASH over BTC. I then scanned the QR on my mobile wallet, confirmed. Right there the transaction popped up in my wallet and I received my money! It almost felt unreal, my first investment (money wise) into cryptocurrencies!
How I'd rate it
Many Fiat to Cryptocurrency services need you to be 18 before you can use them, so this was my best bet! Also, with less than 5% fees I can't complain.
It required no verification, which is nice. It was a speedy process (other than running back and forward to the bank). I would say that it was a rather good experience, but it'd be lovely if I can pay with Scottish cash
