We are seeing unprecedented growth in the entire Crypto Currency space, not just in Bitcoin.
Are you HODLing everything? SODL some? Moved profits into one place or another?
What's your take on things here? Share your experiences with us and we can all laugh, learn, help one another.
As of just now almost 12:30 pm EST --- the CMC.com (CoinMarketCap.com) charts are showing our total market cap for Crypto is still elevated - sustained for many days now, since the Bitcoin / Bitcoin Cash Forkening event caused the markets to finally swell back over the $100B mark for the first time in weeks -- and has kept climbing.
We are sitting still at $144.7B ---- I am hopeful it just stays solid around this range and does not crash again losing fully half the market cap.......
As we did just around June 21st, when it hit the high of $117B and then tanked into the $65 to $95B range for weeks.
Those were bloodbath times. Shudders -- Even though the dramatic rise, signalled a clear correction would be coming.

Bitcoin Cash is gaining more traction, and this is causing a lot of uncertainty in alts, Steem included. A lot of bitcoiners on Reddit are doing their best to downplay the split as it's some kind of non-event, but I think very few people realize the gravity of the current predicament.

I sold all my available Steem and the resulting Bitcoin a couple of weeks ago. I watched Steem then plummet and Bitcoin skyrocket... Just waiting for Bitcoin to plummet so I can buy Steem back and watch it skyrocket!

@barrydutton ViaBTC has stated that should it not be considered as a success by August 15th, they will discontinue the chain and move back to BTC. With that said, it is largely a speculative currency at this point. If they are able to prove that it is better than Bitcoin, it could easily do a turnaround, as all infrastructure for BTC can already support BCH out of the box. But the chances of this happening at this point are slim. As a result, many are calling on the fact that Bitcoin didn’t grow to where it did in a matter of days, and BCH shouldn’t be expected to, either.
The fact that it has not already gone to zero (and is still at around $200 as of this writing) is proof that it does still have support. It’s just a question of how much support it is going to hold and gain going into the future.

I am pretty new to cryptocurrency etc. but I want to learn and understand it a bit more, so what better way to start than to follow you and start learning. I don't own any of it yet, but I'm thinking of buying Steem, since I hear it is a really good thing to do. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Even though steem fell , I still decided to hold and use it for future investments
I am pondering for weeks some of the issues with Steemit and Steem being related and have mused on it publicly, especially after the last week on here watching how a few people are behaving and how people are being driven off the platform the last year, that I have personally witnessed.
Especially if you question anything.
