Skrill launches a digital wallet that allows the purchase and sale of cryptocurrencies

An online payment service provider known as Moneybookers, Skrill launches a new digital product. It allows users to buy and sell cryptocurrencies  using over 40 currencies.

The service, called Skrill Wallet, initially supports Bitcoin, Ether, Litecoin and Bitcoin cash. It is available in over 30 countries, including Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland, Great Britain, Australia and Canada. Currently, the service is not available in Russia and the US.

The price at which cryptomones are purchased is displayed when placing the order. The commission is 1.5% for Euro and USD and 3% for other currencies used.

Currently, the digital wallet does not offer the option of making transfers or trading with other users. But the company said these options will become available in the near future.

Skrill CEO Lorenzo Pellegrino is of the opinion that adoption of cryptocurrencies will increase significantly in the coming years and said:

"I am confident that the ability to trade cryptocurrencies quickly and easily through Skrill will attract consumers both now and in the future. We know that many people want to experience cryptocurrencies trading but do not know where to start, so we wanted to make the whole process as simple as possible. "

In the coming months, it is planned to expand the number of countries where Skrill launches this digital wallet to be available. You also want to add cryptocurrencies option to your mobile app.

Lorenzo Pellegrino also owns NETELLER and Income Access and announced plans to integrate the digital coins under the NETELLER wallet, which is part of the PaySafe subsidiary.

Skrill Wallet is the first step in the payment processor cryptocurrencies  market, which has so far focused mainly on poker, sports betting and casinos.

Skrill also offers a pre-paid Mastercard that can be powered by Bitcoin via the well-known Bitpay service.
