The white-backed woodpecker (Dendrocopos leucotos)
This species of woodpeckers is found a little less often than an common great spotted woodpecker. And I noticed that, unlike him, he often descends to the ground. There he explores old trees tumbled down by the wind and rotten stumps. As a matter of fact, during this occupation I photographed him. Or rather her, this is a female.
