Ratel's photos #334 Forest Birds-267
The grey-headed woodpecker (Picus canus), also known as the grey-faced woodpecker
Strange, but this species of woodpeckers is quite rare. However, occasionally I meet him in the woods.
It is easily recognizable by the characteristic melancholic voice, heard from afar. He is very different from his fellow-woodpeckers.
Firstly, it is very bright, light green. As well as his eyes bright "tea" color. And secondly, he is mistrustful of people. It is very difficult to photograph him, it is not given in any way. He is very careful.
