How to help without harm

Today is a day of curiosities ... Two calls concerning stork nestlings.

The first case is more complicated. Little stork dropped out of the nest. A few days later it stopped eating and became very sluggish. The woman is calling us. I ask what the bird was eating. The answer just killed me: Only the best! Cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce!
I'm terrified. I demand them urgently deliver the stork to our specialist Elena. Perhaps she could save him.
People were too lazy to consult. Otherwise they would know that storks are carnivorous birds. In fact, the bird was starving quite a long time.

In the second case, people asked for advice, but I'm not sure that they will follow it. Again it was about feeding a stork chick. After listening me, the woman said without hesitation: No! We need to feed it with grain and bread! We were advised by experienced people!
Experienced people advised? Then why are you calling us? It will be good if in a week they do not call and ask how to help the bird after such feeding ...

I have neither the strength nor the desire to be surprised or indignant. I just hope that these two birds will be alright.

Lost my best friend to suicide really glad there is this rule. Breaks my heart to see people throw around “kill yourself” like it means nothing.
