I wonder how this fits into the picture of Miller - Urey 1953 experiments - I assume you're familiar with them.
That experiment showed that simple molecules could assemble into more complex ones correct? Like simple building blocks were sufficient to lead to the formation of nucleotides, amino acids etc...
I don't think the RNA world hypothesis is at odds with that, since a ribozyme is a more simple machine than a protein.
