The Anonymous Text (a flash fiction story)

For six years they've been married. Six years they've been together, and yet he never got a clue of what was secretly going on in his own home.

Michelle has been cheating on him, probably before they even got married, who knows.

The sweet young lady he left at home to work everyday has been silently stabbing him in his heart and he probably wouldn't have found out about it if it wasn't for the anonymous text he got from a number.

The text has instructed that he doesn't call back and he hasn't.

Desmond was furious. He thought about one thousand ways to hurt Michelle that hasn't even been invented yet.

Then he got the perfect payback or revenge as he called it.

Michelle had gone to the mall to get some things when Desmond put his plan into motion. Few minutes later Michelle was back from the mall, standing on her front door porch when she first heard the scream.

She gently placed her key into the key hole and follow the sound up all the way to her bedroom. The sound of groceries crashing to the floor made her presence known to Desmond and his partner.

Michelle couldn't comprehend what she just saw. She didn't know if she should go for the naked lady with a fallen breast on her bed or to attack her husband who was surprisely smiling.

"Wh..what have you done"? She asked heart broken.

"Oh you feel bad? Well how do you like me now, how do you like my revenge? " Desmond said mockingly.

"Revenge? What revenge?" Michelle asked.

Meanwhile the naked lady quietly put on her cloths. She didn't know the man was married, not like she cared but he had offered $100 for just a quick one and she wasn't leaving without her money.

"Go ahead, call the number" Michelle voiced out with so much venom.

Everyone remained silent as the phone ran.

"Hello Frank, I asked you not to call me" the voice sounded out from the phone which was on speaker.

"Frank? Am not Frank, this is Desmond"

'' Am sorry about that, my bad" the voice said and the phone disconnected.

The lady in the room quietly made for the door, maybe she will get her $100 some other time.
