पंथ चल गया। एक राजा बड़ा भक्त था तो उसने सोचा कि मनुष्य
जीवन से ही भगवान की प्राप्ति होती है। मुझे भी अवश्य ही दर्शन
करने चाहिये । उसने नकटा पंथ के धुर्त को बुलाया। अपने शिष्यों की
मंडली लेकर धु गुरु आ पहुंचे। राजा ने बड़ा स्वागत किया। अच्छी
ठहरने की व्यवस्था कर दी। राजा ने हाथ जोड़कर कहा कि बड़ी कृपा
की आप पधारे।
धुर्त ने कहा- ‘राजन् आपकी भक्ति सफल हुई आपको भगवान
के दर्शन करने की प्रबल इच्छा हुई। पण्डित को बुलाकर पण्डित से
कहा कि ‘महाराज इसका नाक भगवान को समर्पण करने का मुहूर्त
बताईये। पण्डित ने पंचाग देखकर कहा कि अमावस को अच्छा मुहूर्त
है दिन के ८ बजे नाक कटाने से प्रभू दर्शन अवश्य होगा।
यह बात राजा के पुराने दीवान ने सुनी और वह इस दीवान
को जानता था कि यह तो धुर्त है। यह मुझे पता है कि राजा ने

नाक कट जाये। हमने राजा का अन्न खाया है। इसलिए अपने बैठे
हुए राजा का ध्यान रखना चाहिए।
