On Friday 15th September 12:00 UTC the BitShares Testnet has a Hardfork Trial Scheduled.
This trial does NOT affect anything on the regular network of BitShares.

What is BitShares Testnet
The BitShares network manages a Testnet network, that can perform various trials on hardforks, but is also available for the public on https://testnet.bitshares.eu and is maintained by @xeroc. On the testnet anyone can run experiments on how to make new assets, trying exchange transactions, performing user actions and much more.
This network is a testbed for making any development test before going on the main system.
Before applying significant changes to the standard BitShares network, there are always test performed beforehand, to make sure that everything performs as expected and no new issues have arisen.

test-2.0.170909 Included in this version is a variation of changes. Some are quite big, like the BSIP-0018. There is continuous development of BitShares, and here are some of them that have been included in this update, which will now be tested.

I doubt that this hardfork would affect the price in any way by itself. The hardfork itself is proof of great developement of the platform, and may give the price a boost. You can never know about things like this :)
