Cardano Github Activity - Finding Patterns in The Noise
Can we measure activity and progress of a project based on its activity?
Today I am going to take a look at the number 2 most active Github Repo, Cardano.
Github Activity
This series is taking a look at the activity across Crypto projects on Github. Follow this series to get to know the most active projects a bit better.
The reference point I will be using for choosing projects will be the website https://www.cryptomiso.com/ which ranks and has live links to the different projects.
This website is useful as a reference but different projects will have much larger scope and different areas of focus.
Steemit
Last week I examined the level of activity on the Steemit Github profile. I felt this gave a good overview of the general level of activity and focus of the teams working on various aspects of certain projects.
Cardano
Cardano is a blockchain technology designed to build a new decentralised economy and democratize finance in emerging markets. Cardano will allow decentralised applications and contracts to be built and executed in a low-cost, secure and scalable way.
What is most interesting about this project for me is the structure of the organisation. The project is designed around 3 stakeholders with different roles.
The stakeholder charged with building the core infrastructure, is a decentralised engineering company called IOHK. The github code for this core infrastructure resides in their github repository. You can read more about the different stakeholders on the Cardano project page
