Behind mystery door - Endless choices

This is my entry for the Behind the mystery door contest organized by @onceuponatime :) I hope you enjoy!

You see the old door in front you and you can't stop thinking about entering and seeing what is inside. There are no windows, nothing. Just one old door leading nowhere, apparently. You decide to go closer to the door. As you walk closer you can hear a little girl’s cry. The door opens with a slight creek and there in the middle of a room is a little girl standing in a white dress, holding a teddy bear, crying and sobbing.

You are watching her back as she slightly starts turning to you. You ask her where her parents are, and she asks : ,,Are you going to play with me?" At the same moment she she smiles with the devils laugh and starts running towards a long hall. You run after her, but she is nowhere to be found. You run to the end of the hall and there are 3 doors.

On the door it says 1, 2 and 4. Next to it lies a paper with instructions. It says: ,, If you walk through the door 1, you will die very young but very succesful. If you walk through the door 2 you will become a millionaire but will be forever haunted by every sin you have ever made in life. If you walk through the door four you will make someone’s wish come true but it will take away one of your own life’s wishes…" You stop and think for a while and then you decide.

As you open the door 4 you see that little girl from the beggining smilling at you. She says: Are you going to play with me? And gives you a paper. You open the paper and it says: ,,Congratulations, you walked through the door 3. Thank you for playing with me." And that is when you realize that old rusty door you have just walked through at the begining had a little tiny sign that said 3. She hands you another paper that says: ,,If you choose to walk through the door number 3 you will find yourself in the world of endless choices, but you will pay for it in real life, that is if you can get back to it." You look at the girl, she is pointing her finger towards a hall. You walk to the end of the hall and there are another three doors… On the paper it says: ,,Congratulations, you chose a door number 4 and you are going to loose one of your life’s wishes." Under it it says: ,,You know the rules." On the paper there are three more choices … Do you know what being nosy got you into?

Thank you for reading my story! I hope it made sense I had so many thoughts running through my mind that I didn't even know existed in my mind.
