New Normal is an 6.2% alcohol/volume Unfiltered IPA made by Crossroads Brewing Company in Athens, New York. Crossroads Brewing Company began pouring beer in October of 2010. They launched an award winning brewpub which is serving up locally sourced eats to go along with the in-house brewed beers. They also opened a taproom in Catskill, New York. New Normal is an unfiltered IPA brewed with Mosaic, El Dorado, Amarillo hops and then Dry hopped with Mosaic.

The Can

The New Normal is served in a full pint can. The label is a dark blue and peach color. It features the New York State design with 'New Normal' written on it, with a background pattern of hop nugs, cans, barrels, spouts and more. It's a solid can for a New York brewed beer.

The Beer

New Normal was a bright hazy yellow color when poured into a glass. You can tell that it's an unfiltered IPA just by the dusty glow. At first sip it had a peachy, papaya taste. It was a fairly crushable IPA at 6.2%, but not exactly something to savor. Overall it was a solid beer to enjoy in the summertime. I look forward to trying more brews from Crossroads Brewing Company in the future.
