Beer Review

Miss Daisy is a 7.8% New England IPA brewed by Hoax Brewing Company in East Haven, Connecticut. Hoax Brewing Company is a new beer maker that launched in 2018 by Sean Ricci. I attended the launch party and took photos for my friend's band 'Skyview Plaza'. Hoax brews out of The Beeracks, a collaborative brewing space that houses 7+ different beer makers. The Miss Daisy is the 2nd beer that Hoax Brewing Company ever released in a can. It's a hazy New England-style IPA with Simcoe, Amarillo, Nelson Sauvin, and Citra hops.

The Can

The Miss Daisy is served in a full pint can. It has an all red label which features a Milk Truck style Ambulance with 'H.O.A.X' written on the side . The bottom of the can reminds you that you will feel like you shook Frank Sinatra's hand after drinking one of these.

The Beer

I poured the Miss Daisy in a glass and as you can see in the photo below, the beer was hazy and juicy like a proper New England-style IPA. The blend of Simcoe, Amarillo, Nelson Sauvin, and Citra hops give the Miss Daisy a truly complex flavor. It had a tasty aroma with hints of citrus and pine. Overall the Miss Daisy was an impressive release from a new brewery. I look forward to trying more beers from Hoax Brewing Company in the future.
