Beer Review

Double Inundation is an 8.2% American Double IPA brewed by Counter Weight Brewing Co. in Hamden, Connecticut. Counter Weight is a relatively new beer-maker that has quickly made a name for itself in the North East market. They make a variety of beers from German Pilsners and Oatmeal Stouts to bright and hoppy IPAs. Double Inundation is a soft, hazy full-bodied DIPA that goes down the hatch with a blast of citrus flavor.

The Can

The Double Inundation is sold in a full pint can. It features a white colored label that has a picture of the Counter Weight Brewing facility undergoing what looks like a nuclear blast. A green and purple mushroom cloud plumes over the center of the brewery...

The Beer

I poured the Double Inundation into a proper Counter Weight glass during a beer share at @kirm-it's house. As you can see, the beer is a nice hazy, creamy yellow color. The beer was ultra smooth with a powerful citrus flavor. It had a fuzzy, light mouthfeel and went down very easy for an 8.2% alcohol/volume beer. Overall it was a very high quality DIPA. I look forward to trying more from Counter Weight Brewing Co. in the future.
