RE: Cervezabado! Three Cheers for @meesterboom!
Oh wow, that's great! If you and JJ ever feel like you want a challenge and consider adopting a 20-something Filipino man child, just leave me a PM. I accept STEEM :D
Perks include software development, pentesting, able (although not too willing) to drive and can reach the top drawer. Ha! Take that 8yo! Also, a competitive Magic the Gathering player. I'm sure that counts for something.
Anyway, let me know so that I could get in touch with people who know people. I'm sure we could find a good fit.
RoFL! XD You're not a man-child are you Jed? You don't seem the man-child type XD
Though if you ever feel like doing the back end/security crap for a steem front end... XP
The 8yo can reach the top drawer, how high are your freaking drawers?! :O Hmm could probably use another Magic player in the house, JJ has been steadfastly trying to hook me back into playing, he saw the steem-mers pic I was doing and offered to make me a merfolk deck, but he doesn't have enough standard legals so is contemplating making a cat deck instead (he reckons he hates cats but I reckon when I have enough cryptocash for the world's cutest cryptocats he will forget all about that ;D)
It depends on who you ask haha! Although, I wasn't referring to me... I think :/
The top drawers are pretty high here haha! Funny you should mention a merfolk deck, because that's the last full deck I ever made years ago hahahaha! I doubt if any of them are still standard now. Hmm I have yet to see a Cat deck perform well. It would be interesting to see one function competitively. The most obscure deck I made in my life is a Black-White Cleric deck haha!
What do you mean obscure, I had a black/white cleric deck! Everyone hated it and my black/white angel deck, especially when the Doubtless Ones (for the cleric deck) or Akroma Angel of Wrath (for the angel deck) hit the table XD
I've had a merfolk deck in the past as well but more as a theme deck as we didn't have anything particularly useful for them at the time. JJ was saying something about tribes being a big thing now so it's useful to have same type creatures in a deck if you're doing the tribe thing but having not played forever I have only a vague idea what he's on about :D
this thread is getting skinny XD
AHAHA! Seriously? Maybe that's why we get along! We have the same MTG strategy. The Doubtless One was the bane of that deck as well. Must be a culture thing, but I haven't seen any other Cleric deck in local play haha! Angel deck >.< Man, I hate Angels. I created an Avian deck to oppose it, but they weren't enough.
Merfolks aren't as tribal as the other tribes. The Elves still take the cake there, followed by Slivers and Goblins. Well, I guess Slivers really take the cake, but I've seen an Elf deck that gains more than 100 life in one tap of a Wellwisher >.<
Ahhhh slivers, 8yo has a sliver deck, he loves that thing XD Does a rally good job with it too. I think it's a commander rather than standard deck though.
I am thoroughly unsurprised to hear that about an elf deck! Sounds like the Wellwisher needs to be klepto'd in that case ;D
Pft! As someone who doesn't fit well with tribes, I abhor those and make it a point to obliterate them in competitive play (aka random daily encounters). My favorite one is a UW Artifact Control deck which makes everything an artifact, and makes me invulnerable as long as I have an artifact bwahahaha! Take that mangy slivers!
There were many times my cousins and I wanted to just cut those cards in half haha!
