Beer Advent Days 8 to 12 and #Beersaturday entry

In what is becoming an annual tradition I buy a beer can Advent calendar called Canvent from a local beer retailer in Melbourne, Australia called Carwyn Cellars it is 24 beers, all Australian, All Craft, all in cans all never before released brewed specially for this. Each 4 days I'm going to tell you about them. Oh and for the Northern Hemisphere people, reset your minds, it's hot down here for Christmas so don't expect too many malt bombs.

So let's see what's happening with beers 9-12

Beer 9 - Baubles Farmhouse Ale. very sophisticated looking beer from local Melbourne brewery Molly Rose. It has a great can design, would look at home on the table of any fancy restaurant in town. Might be a farmhouse but tastes more like a full bodied lager g very easy drinking and very enjoyable.

Beer 10 - Llittle Bang Brewery is based in South Australia and generally produce very good beers. This beer is called Face Inverter. It's a Lemon citrus sour, so it the tang of lemon, the tang of citrus and the tang of a sour, triple tanginess, which makes it a little one noted, but hey its a really good note, its like a sherbet bomb come to life and taken the form of a beer - I like it a lot.

Beer 11 - Hazy Christmas Snakebite from Venom (from Victoria) - I don't know if they have snakebites outside of Australia, but it is a beer with red cordial in it. It generally tastes like crap. This beer is a hazy IPA with raspberries in it, it not that great either. It's a sort of standard IPA with hint of fruity sweetness but the fizziness is a little too dominating.

Beer 12 - Santa's Little Helper from a very local brewery (about 5km down the Rd) called Black Arts Brewers and Blenders. It's a all sour beer brewery and this hopped saison isa beautiful example of a sophisticated multi layered drink, it yeasty, a touch cirtusy, velvety with just a hint of tang - a very nice beer.
