Synalpheus Pinkfloydi by Shorts Brewing

Synalpheus Pinkfloydi is a cherry lemonade Gose brewed with Lemondrop hops, Himalayan Pink Sea Salt, coriander, lemon and Balaton cherries. With a red hue and great clarity, this summertime Gose smells of bright cherry, tart lemon, and a little salt. Despite a lengthy list of ingredients, Synalpheus Pinkfloydi has a great balance of flavors. Tart cherry and lemon complement the saltiness of a classic Gose. A dry and tart finish rounds out this easy drinking summer brew.

Another beautiful beer by Shorts. This one pours hazy orange with a light reddish color. There is approx. 2 fingers of fairly dense and fluffy white head. The head has good retention that reduces to a thin cap.

The aroma is tart and sour with notes of black cherry and citrus. You can also pick up some of the funk from the Gose style.

The flavor is pleasing with lots of fruit and citrus. There is tart and sour flavors that are complex, but balanced.

The mouthfeel is refreshing and light with a good amount of carbonation that balances the beer. Overall, this is a good beer that is refreshing and not too overpowering. The Gose style is not my favorite, but I liked this beer.

Looks like that would be a nice beer to try. I have to admit I don't try enough small brand beers.

I am also here from the Pay it Forward crowd. Found this when @cicisaja put you into the contest. Have a good one.

Thanks for the support. I always try to drink local. I’m from michigan and we are one of the bigger craft beer states.

There's nothing like Super Bock!

Nice post, I never heard of that brand before.

I've found your post after @cicisaja featured you in her entry for the Pay It forward Contest

Thanks Shorts is one of Michigan’s largest craft breweries. They produce some of the funkiest beer around. I recommend giving their beers a try they blow the macro beers out of the water. I appreciate they support that @cicisaja is giving me. The whole @pifc is such a good idea. Cheers 🍻

This one sounds very interesting. I like all those ingredients, but never tried them in a beer before. The name is a bit nuts, is there any back story to that? I like my Pink Floyd, so would be interested to hear the association

I’m not sure the back story, but knowing the brewery it has to be a Pink Floyd tribute.

I don't like beer this one I think I would try. It actually looks really good. I like the idea you support locally. Around my area, it's really easy to do. We have 2 distilleries and 2 microbreweries, a meadery, quite a few wineries. I have found I prefer local to the large companies, with a few exclusions. One of the distilleries make and awesome vodka it's very smooth and does not overpower the drink. They make a 'tequila' it's very mild compared to real tequilas. You don't get tequila nose with it LOL. Thank you for sharing 😃

As you know you were featured by @cicisaja in this week's @pifc's Pay It Forward Curation Contest. Please take a look at what we do and consider being a part of this community.

Thanks for stopping by I appreciate you taking the time to read my post and comments. I am not a huge liquor fan but a good tequila that does not have that strong tequila taste might be good in a margarita.

I do not drink beer but I think your beer is good. Thanks for sharing your experience. Thanks @cicisaja for choosing this post in pifc contest post.

Thanks for the support. There are a lot of good beer and non alcoholic drinks out there. When you can try to drink local and support the community.

Interesting beer (that I will never dare to drink at all...LOL), this one is kinda not making you drunk after a glass right?

It’s only 4.6% ABV so it’s on the lighter side for most craft beers.

aaahhh you GOT ME! I featured you... hehehehe, you must know about the @pifc before .. I think I read your post sometimes ago about another kind of beer too.. aaahhh I remember now, I saw your name on Asher's league before!

Thanks for the feature! I have not heard of @PIFC before so I’m looking into it now. I have been review beer for some time now. I also host a SBI giveaway when I have excess steem. I am also not aware what Asher’s league is either?

I wonder what that shrimp (or prawn?) has something to do with the beer. I read your post three times and there is no shrimp mentioned in the ingredients, yeah? 😂 Kidding aside, it does not look like beer but wine.

Somewhere, some time ago I heard that our San Miguel Beer is one of the best beers in the world. I wonder if you have that in your market there and if you tried it. It will certainly not taste like that Shorts Brew because I do not think they add cherry to it.

Nice review of a drink, even if I don't drink. 😂 I came across your article through @cicisaja who featured it on her post as an entry to the Pay It Forward Curation Contest. The contest is open to everyone so you are welcome to join.

That’s a good question I guess I don’t know. They are known for their crazy names and funky beers. I have not had any San Miguel Beer. I’ll keep an eye out for it. Thanks for the awesome support, Cheers!

You know what? Guys here in our country usually take alcohol drinks like beer together with what we call "pulutan" or appetizer during drinking sessions. I think that prawn will be a good appetizer. 😜

I love prawns and shrimp. We grill them a lot with herbs and butter.

Sounds perfect with the beer. Would you try?

I would definitely try it.

I do not drink much beer. I am however a huge Pink Floyd fan so kinda like the name.
I came over because you were featured in the pay it forward curation contest this week by @cicisaja

This is a Pink Floyd reference I forgot that. Thanks for the support.
