M-43 Double Dry Hopped Edition
The holy grail of Michigan NEIPAs, M-43 by Old Nation. Now this is a special edition of M-43 takes this beer to a new level. Let me feel you this is beer nirvana. Double dry hopping is the process of adding double the hops as you would with a single hopped beer, or some breweries will split it up, doing a first round that's the same as the base recipe, and adding a second round later on in the process.
This hopping process cuts down on M-43’s sweetness which is awesome because I think the original can be too sweet for my palette. As you can see this beer still pours like a hazy orange juice with a nice white bubbly head.
The aroma is bold and fragrant with loads of citrus and hop notes. I think the aroma is more in your face with this version of the beer. The flavor is sweet, light, complex and citrusy as hell. The double hopping added so nice piney resin notes, but this beer lives up to its base.
The mouthfeel is thicker and filling. It’s like drinking orange with a little bit of pulp. This is an unfiltered beer so it definitely has a different mouthfeel. Overall, I’m actually more of a fan of this version than the base beer. Like I said the original is just a little too sweet.

Interesting label, is a strange cloudy colour.
The beer is unfiltered giving it that cloudy haze.
