Bourbon Baller Stout

If you want to be a true baller you have to get some Odd Side Ales Bourbon Baller Stout. I will say this is a harder to find beer so not everyone can be a baller like me-lol. I ended up picking this stout up the last time I stopped by the brewery.

This stout is perfectly crafted. It pours a beautiful black/brown. It’s not as dark as oil, but it’s dark enough that light does not really pass through it. The head is brown and disappeared quickly. It was like a thick mocha coffee.

The aroma creamy with notes of dark chocolate, mild bourbon & oak in the nose. It’s pleasant and kind of manly. I think this would go well with a fine cigar as the label would have you believe.

The flavor is heavy. There’s strong notes bourbon heat, woody oak, mild cream and a faint dark chocolate flavor. It’s complex enough, but still a little one notes with the heavy bourbon flavor. As a bourbon drinker this is something I enjoyed, but again of you are new to BBA stouts it’s a bit overwhelming.
