Hey @rynow,

I'll chat to my mate Gavin from OC Breweries (the brewmaster scientist behind my beer), but while I speak under correction, lagers are ideally suited for winter... fermenting at their best around 8 to 12 °C (inside the fermenter) ... Stout's like it a little warmer though (around 17 °C).

P.S. 14 °C shouldn't be too cold outside for your fermenter to reach ideal temp for your stout... unless there's something wrong with your yeast (or if there isn't enough of it).

Yes, I heated up the room and added some more yeast and it seems to be fermenting now!
